NIZHNIY TAGIL COAL A MILESTONE WITH PCI PLANTS IN RUSSIA

PAUL WURTH S.A. once again decided for Loesche technology and placed an order with the worldwide leader of vertical roller mills.

The Loesche mill type LM 35.3 D is installed in the coal dust injection plant in the blast furnace (PCI technology) of the EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ NTMK) in Russia.

The EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ NTMK) is located in Nizhniy Tagil, Sverdlovsk region, Russia. Nizhniy Tagil is one of the oldest steel production and mining centers in Russia. EVRAZ NTMK’s main products are railway goods as well as construction products.

In April 2012, the Iron and Steel plant was extended by the Loesche coal mill of the type LM 35.3 D which is successfully in operation with a capacity of 88 t/h hard coal at a fineness of 20% R DIN 0.09 mm.

The gearbox with a capacity of 1,000 kW as well as a hot gas generator Type LF 22 were part of Loesche’s scope of supply.

Paul Wurth S.A. was responsible for the handling at the whole Nizhniy Tagil Coal Project.
