Quality Control Manager (m/f)

Primetec`s scope of work includes the following activities

• Audit of cement plants and grinding terminals
• Operations of grinding terminals and complete cement plants
• Preventive maintenance and planning
• Management of required spare parts
• Recruitment, management and training of employees
• Management of operational stability and improvement-process
• Ensuring health & safety and environmental regulations

      Your duties:

  • Lead and guide all quality related aspects at the plant site by implementing quality management systems, quality plans and controls to achieve plant’s objectives;
  • Ensure the quality of products and their compliance with the standardized and contractual requirements;
  • In charge of the achievement of key performance indicators in the field of product quality and quality systems related agreed targets for the overall plants’ performance;
  • Define and set quality targets for the production department;
  • Recommend and implement quality control methodologies in cooperation with the production department;
  • Coordinate and carry out product quality tests and recommend measures for its improvement;
  • Provide the necessary guidance to laboratory staff and ensure the continuous improvement of its competency;
  • Identify specific developmental needs and gaps of the assigned staff; 
  • Train and develop the assigned staff to provide specific knowledge;
  • Control and guide the daily work and ensure the safety regarding the laboratory activities;
  • Implement standardized reporting functions, work instructions for optimising the process chains;
  • Ensure a well-organised communication of decisions and current developments of technical information and those relating to the quality between various actors;
  • Responsible for the implementation and updating of the quality management system for the continuous improvement of all quality related processes;
  • Ensure the use of necessary data analysis in order to improve the established quality system;
  • Secure the retention of the certification of marketed products and quality systems
  • Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines;

  Your profile:

  • University degree in chemical engineering or chemistry;
  • Several years’ experience in the cement industry as Quality Control Manager;
  • Profound experience in leading and guiding laboratory staff;
  • Sound knowledge of quality management systems, cement chemistry and cement microscopy;
  • Profound knowledge of product analysis methods;
  • Very good understanding of safety and environmental regulations;
  • Strategic, organisation and planning skills;
  • Business-fluent spoken and written English and French as a must criteria;
  • Very good MS-Office and SAP knowledge;
  • Valid work and residence permit for Ivory Coast or Burkina Faso;
