Energy saving and environmental friendly: the Loesche refuse recycling plants

The Loesche refuse cascade mill is the core aggregate for the mechanical treatment of waste. The refuse cascade mill is a proven machine for treatment of large amounts of domestic refuse, commercial waste, sewage sludge and crushed bulky waste. The process steps of comminution, homogenization and classification are combined perfectly in one compact unit.

The comminution is characteristically very selective due to manifold strain between simple steel balls as grinding media. Weak organic materials are comminuted by attrition forces to a fine product fraction while metal is only compacted. The cascade mill ensures reliable and superior material separation into material fractions such as high quality RDF (refuse derived fuel), metal, aluminium and inert components reducing the actual landfill proportion to a minimum. The excellent benefication of the organic substance allows a substantial reduction of the following biological process steps. Materials like wood and plastics are enriched in a coarse fraction.
