Published in: ICR, October 2007
Summary: South America is a relatively small market in terms of global cement consumption, but its high prices and its growth potential have focused significant attention on the region. Article: Redundancy and interchangeability – large vertical roller mills for grinding cement raw material
Published in: Cement International
Summary: The change in the international cement industry over the past years indicates that, chiefly on cost grounds, the trend will continue towards large production units with kiln capacities of up to 10 000 t/d. Investigations have shown that up to 30 % of the capital cost can be saved when installing a grinding plant for producing raw meal if just one single large mill is used instead of the former system with two vertical roller mills operating in parallel. Based on these investigations Loesche GmbH has developed a mill for producing raw meal that has an arrangement of six rollers on the grinding table.
